Looking around it can get pretty discouraging. Honest skepticism and discernment is always at a premium, yet as of late with bad news abounding, I find myself (and others) falling prey to being hypercritical and running into a negative streak. The effect is compounding and self-fulfilling.
Today's On-Purpose® Minute offers some hope and a couple suggestions for turning your critical condition into a healthy state of being. It isn't easy, but it outshines the alternative.

Great word! Thanks for the encouragement today.
I needed this one. I just realized why I get into a critical posture. It is when I am going through a lot an need to pull back and get quiet (pray and wait for direction). If I don't get it right away I get a little critical of what other are or are not doing around me. Because I am such a pro-active individual what I am really saying by this is, I am not trusting God to be right on time with some answers. (smile!) So, today this is what your on purpose min. spoke to me. Thanks, I am getting positioned back in the posture of trust and that is one of peace.

Thanks Anita for your wonderful insights and sharing.
Interestingly, todays On-Purpose Minute was one I needed to speak into being in my own life. Things have been rough around the McCarthy generations as of late. Ive been more tired than normal so a bit on edge. Im avoiding being in critical condition so I dont end up in critical condition with a heart attack or something!
Be On-Purpose!
